Intuit QuickBooksI started using QuickBooks six years ago. I used to use Peach Tree software for accounting. But because of the popularity of QuickBooks I decided to try it and have never looked back.
I have found QuickBooks to be more intuitive than Peach Tree making it a lot easier to use. You can track your inventory, compute depreciation, issue checks, and do all the normal accounting functions, such as preparing your income statements and balance sheets monthly, quarterly, or annually. Give it a try.
I can't live without TurboTax during the tax season. I've been using it over 20 years - without any problems.
I use to enter tax data directly into the forms. I don't do that anymore. With all the tax changes each year, it's easy to overlook something. So, to be safe, I use the step-by-step function to ensure I don't miss anything.
The deduction finder is a really nice feature. It'll help you slash your taxes further by helping you find overlooked deductions.
After completing a return, you run the error check function. It checks for things you might have forgotten, such as putting a checkmark in a box, or entering a "yes' or "no" response to a question, or entering your date of birth which is important for people 65 or over, or taxpayers claiming the earned income credit.
TurboTax will also assess your audit risk after your return is completed. It will tell you whether your audit risk is low, medium, or high and let you know which item(s) may be putting you at risk of being audited.
This company had been around a long time. and has a good reputation. It's one of the best companies for computing payroll, issuing payroll checks and payroll reports.
PAYCHEX will make sure you comply with the rules. You'll avoid costly penalties resulting from errors and late filing.
I've been using Hostmonster to host my site for several years. It's cheap, provides great customer service, and provides tons of useful features.
Enjoy!
